One word came to mind when I first started TSW:

Clunky

I see now what others were saying about the combat. There is a disconnect between your key presses and your abilities going off.

Frustration

SO many locked doors. Such a pain to run around to find one that actually functions.

Absolutely. I think the game would have done much better with a combat system more similar to a FPS.

What do you think of quest flow? I thought it felt a little...dull. Don't know what other word to use.

So far, it is not as good as I had thought it would be. Way too many intervening packs of mobs to chew through while traveling (just like SWTOR, actually), and somewhat Tera-esque with the kill x zombies, then x more zombies, then x more zombies (in a slightly different fashion). They are not real zombies, either.

The big plus about the questing is the variety of game play involved - avoiding search lights, jumping and climbing obstacles, chasing birds. That part is done pretty well (better than I have seen in other MMOs). The voice acted cut scenes are better than SWTOR's also.

So far, though - NO quests which require grouping.

The lack of grouping in the open world aside from Lairs is something several of us have commented on and actually agree on.
Their comment was they wanted to add something like this but not do what other mmo's have done as they easly could do it and are more looking at red dead redemption.
Having never played that game i have no clue what they mean by doing it more like that and less then what the rest is doing.

That being said it is beter worked out in the "single player" part then Swtor attempted to do.

Content wise i'm still not burned thru everything either, Just into egypts firt zone. Some got annoyed by a troublesome skill setup and dislike logging into the game considering the preparation takes before heading into combat and lack of a good skill setup and gear to combine with it starts to show in Savage coast and up, mostly so in Blue mountain.

As for no flashlights there are miner helms that's about it what i saw so far.

They wanted to emulate red dead redemption. - which is not an MMO.

I am sick of MMOs pushing solo game play.

Sick of TSW's solo instances. They are neat, but would be FAR better if they were group content.

We should at least have Scully & Mulder content.

The latest answer we recieved was they couldn't pull it off in some cases to make it a multiplayer instance, they are opening them up more where they can.

As for the RDR bit i mentioned it was more at them looking how to do multiplayer events that way as compared to Warhammer PQ's what the developer found to be a not well executed feature in the game.

Time will tell what happens with TSW, it has a lot of potentional there and i rather have these sort of mmo's coming out each year then games that attempt to be like EQ/WoW.

Its hard to take someone's opinion on MMOs seriously when they cite WoW as their favourite of all time and often compare other MMOs to it. Makes me question how much MMO experience they have, other than playing a game for a few days then declaring it to be shit. I like WoW and enjoyed playing it but I know what it is.
I'll pre order you SWTOR if you let me put my lightsaber in your sarlaac cave.

I don't know who declares WoW their favorite, but drawing comparisons to the hands-down market leader is appropriate.

When talking with people that may not have the same amount of MMO experience, citing examples from WoW is a good way to get them "in" on the conversation, IMO. Ex: A player-driven marketplace, like the Auction House in WoW.
