Worst Film of the Year? http://www.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/Movies/06/24/transformers.reviews/index.html
Sigh.
Besides, who in the hell puts BALLS on a Transformer? Worse still, how does a Megan Fox film go wrong???
Finally - check out this funny link by Cracked.com on Michael Bay... http://www.cracked.com/article_17527_if-everyday-life-was-directed-by-michael-bay.html

Lukewarm reviews?

thats because MTV is stupid.
its not a feeling, its how its been for the last 10 years.
I stopped listening to the radio and watching MTV crap about 15 years ago.
Theres nothing good on that crap anymore. useless chat about nonsense.
if you need to see a video go download it.
the TV shows on there have nothing good to offer an intelligent mind. It is a brainwashing station, accept it or not. Its just a media and merchandising outlet for companies. Stupid hiphop videos and paris hilton shows. Its the worst crap to ever watch on TV so stop getting yourself sucked into that crap.
its just the facts. =/
Surely you can find better things to watch
When Music Television stopped playing music - it ceased being Mtv and became an advertising firm. A giant billboard on the front of your television screen. It pretends to be hip and fresh but behind the scenes is old network heads and their drive for the same generic formula revenue building.
Cartoon Network is starting to head that was as well. Several of its newest shows are in fact not cartoons. Seems they are going reality on us.

I had watched the movie a week ago and I have to admit that I did like it. Maybe the loud noises and explosions were edited and a revised film was distributed. There wasn't any loud trash-can banging noises that I heard and the volume was not lowered due to the volume of the actor's voices could be heard.
For me, I had to detach from realism and hard Sci-Fi to more of ... how to say, dumbed-down or as how mainstream MMO's are now today. Or perhaps just as an action movie, along the lines of Commando (I still do not understand how the director of Commando considers it as the best movie ever made).
Some things I do agree with others is there was hardly, if any unattractive woman in the movie. And I think they were all under weight as well (typical for movies), with maybe the one exception of one young woman in the first college class scene wearing an oversized sweater to look overweight.
There were guns and even big guns for the Transformers and gun fights, not just all melee fights. Explosions galore. And it was confusing at times when the Transformers would grapple one another.
One side note, the 'cheesy lines' such as, "If they turn it on, it will destroy the sun! Not on my watch!" was appropriate. I had thought this line came from a Soldier or Marine when reading the review. It came from the loony Sector 7 operative; so it made sense given the character who said it.
The top points:
- Very Pro US Military. Reminded me of those old 50's WW2 movies. And by that I mean the people/characters in uniform were portrayed as being professional and doing their duty even in the face of extreme danger.
- The last big battle, using combined arms and naval support. I rarely ever see any modern movie do this. And it was awesome in seeing even puny humans taking down big monsters... I mean robots.
The low points:
- Canon? Silly people, Canon is for Star Trek.
- How does a Jordanian Handheld Radio have the capability to communicate with a US Naval Battle Group? (see, toss realism out... after all big robots aren't real to begin with)
