MMO News, Reviews & Opinions
The little things we do as a community that we think make us unique.
A section for the devil in the details. Terms of Agreement and other such odds and ends.
Every so often we run polls to vote for end of the year achievements in the MMO industry. It may be noted that few really want to have their games included on some of our categories.
Interviews with people who are a part of the industry but not the part that makes MMOs. Whether it be community managers, Game Senators or just player advisors - each and every one have a story to tell and something to teach us.
Pretty straight forward section here. Though sometimes our announcements are not as straight forward as they seem.
Our site specialty - bringing the lot of us together to talk about one topic. Usually these moments result in gems of unspoken truths, bickering and some zingers that often find their way around the web. If you want an honest opinion on an MMO or developers... look no further.
Sometimes something needs to be said - good or bad. This would be the place where that sort of soapbox stand can be found.
Rather than be one dimensional, we also like to cover other topics beyond online gaming. For example, we also like to talk about console based gaming...
There are games out there, both console and pc, that break the mold and set new standards. These games need to be played by gamers so that future games can be judged by the high bar they set. Join us as we look at what MMOFringe recommends...
We also like to watch movies. Especially anime.
Articles in this section are usually not game specific. Rather they focus on publishes, developers and other components of the industry itself. Some are investigative and serious while others are just parodies inspired by the insanity of it all.
Early in the site's history, we were graced with the presence of one of the more infamous personalities in the MMO realm. That would be Jester Rodo, the Cosplay clown of SOE contempt. His videos were sharp, harsh and very much needed in those days. He has since gone into pseudo-retirement and many of his videos have lapsed. I keep the articles here as a form of archiving a rather troubled period in mmo history.
Our most recent endeavor has turned out to be one of the most fun things we have gotten to do as a community. We cover everything we can in these podcasts and have picked up a bit of a fanbase because of them. It is our hope to do plenty more of these. The astute listener will also note some voices from other known podcasts.
The bread and butter of the site (outside of our forum). Here you will find news, opinions and reviews on many an MMORPG title. True, some see a bit more love that others but sometimes its tough love and so no one is jealous of the numbers.
